Macaroon Bites

These little balls of yumminess are great for when you want something sweet to satisfy your cravings but don't want to delve into the bar of chocolate you have in the fridge!

 

(Makes 12 macaroons (approx.)

 

You will need:

1 banana

75g of cocoa powder

50g of coconut oil

60g of honey/ agave syrup

1tbsp of nut butter

150g of desiccated coconut (plus extras for topping)

 

Equipment:

A fridge/freezer for chilling

A mixing bowl

A fork

A spoon

A mixing spoon

A set of scales

A tray/ plate

A sift

 

Method:

Peel the banana and use the fork to mash the banana until its a paste.

Spoon in the Coconut oil and agave nectar/ honey and mix well.

Sift the cocoa powder into the mix and then add the desiccated coconut, mix with a spoon.

Once the mixture is completely combined, sprinkle some of the desiccated coconut on a clean surface.

-hen use clean hands to make small balls with the mixture and roll gently in the desiccated coconut, carry on until all the mix is used.

Place on a plate/tray and chill until serving.

Tadaar, so easy and pretty healthy for a tasty snack. You could also add some chopped nuts to make them even more delicious.
